*a- roll 1d6- on a “5- 6” do not roll for opponent defensive move. Opponent rolls PIN due to JUJI GETAME (0). If no PIN, Vos rolls on L3O
*b- roll 1d6- on a “4- 6” do not roll for opponent defensive move. Opponent rolls PIN due to KIMURA ARMLOCK (0). If no PIN, Vos rolls on L3O
*c- roll 1d6- on a “3- 6” do not roll for opponent defensive move. Opponent rolls PIN due to KATA GETAME (0). If no PIN, Vos rolls on L3O
*d- roll 1d6- on a “5- 6” Vos executes a defensive sweep and takes over on offense. Vos rolls on L3O. This only works after Vos rolls his PIN, not after a finisher has been rolled.
Vos comes to Burning Fist Combat with one of the best pedigrees and most truly unique combat styles seen the IWL. Vos is a three times Universal Olympics Judo Champion. He has shown a dominance in the sport of Judo that is rarely seen, especially by a human. As he got a little older, and his success began to decline, he retired from serious competition and looked for another avenue to show his athletic prowess. Burning Fist Combat was a natural fit for Vos, as all of the members have deep experience fighting prior to wrestling. Vos was very resistant to change his ways, and eventually Master Erutuoc decided to work with Vos in acclimating his skills to the ring. Vos has become good friends with Aethan and Marcus, often training together and showing one another new techniques and holds. For example, while Vos taught Marcus o soto gari,, Vos learned the best way to stay mounted upon a downed opponent while raining down hard punches.
When he first entered pro wrestling, Vos had a very tough transition period. He was not used to the ring, the ropes, flying attacks nor the use of illegal weapons. Now, almost four years after he started and under Master Eturuoc, Vos was more accustomed to the in- ring environment, and was able to truly focus on working his Judo effectively into his fighting skills. Vos employs many throws he used during active competition like foot sweeps, leg sweeps, hip throws, and shoulder throws. He has altered the morote gari, a double leg takedown like attack, so the Vos drives the opponent’s head straight into the mat. His most effective throws, the sweeping hip throw (harai goshi) and big outside leg reap (o soto gari) won him many medals and fear from opponents.
Unlike most professional wrestlers, Vos does not utilize one or two moves as a “finisher”; instead he relies on his throws to set up a submission finish. He uses many types of finishers, but most often utilizes the KIMURA (ude garame- arm entanglement lock), JUJI GETAME (cross arm lock), or the KATA GETAME (arm triangle choke). If he fails to secure a submission on his opponent, he still may end up in a good pinning situation or even knocking him his opponent out. Also, years of grappling and staying off his back have allowed to scramble effective when being pinned, and he may sweep his opponent and reverse the tide of the match.
Vos is excited at being an active member of Burning Fist. He is confident he will be the Light Heavyweight Champion, as a sign of respect to Master Eturuoc and the rest of his teammates.
