I saw Julia Roberts chasing down the paparazzi after they were taking pics of her kids. And I admit, kids don't sign up to be stars and they should be off limits.
However, the Hollywood stars really make me sick. They knew what they signed up for when they wanted to make it in Hollywood, so I really think they should deal with it. They sold their soul to be a star and this is part of it (it's not like this (Paparazzi) started last year).
I say deal with it (unless kids are around).

We agree!
You make that much money, you get the bad with the good. Tough teepees. You don't want people taking pictures of you, don't make any more movies/record any more albums/go to any more clubs and get high (or whatever it is Lindsay Lohan's doing this week).

there's been celeb's being chased by the press for years. you would think that they would know that being famous means being i the spotlight. its a shame really.

I'm sort of in the middle on this. Yes if you're famous and out in public you should expect people to try to hound you. On the other hand if people are doing things like going through your trash, staking out your home and even trespassing on your property that's going too far IMO. Everyone has a right to their privacy no matter who you are. I guess in a way you can blame the tabloids because they're the ones who pay big money for dirt and personal pictures. I also agree that children shoud be off limits.

I think the fact that most celebrities dont want people taking pictures of their kids and do everything they can to prevent it equals a big pay day for anybody who manages to get one.

Maybe in the UK it's different (although I doubt it with the royals and all your tabloids), but in the States, the desire to get a big payday for a picture of a big star, especially in a vulnerable position, is huge for many photographers. Personally I think we're way too much of a celebrity-driven culture, but I'm evidently not representative of the population.

I have to share an office with a few women who are seem at times obsessed with celebrites and their personal lives. Personally I could care less because I have enough of my own problems to worry about.

Nah...the paparazzi are officially worse than lawyers.
There are no worse bottom feeding parasites.
Well, except maybe the people that buy the tabloids that keep the paparazzi in business.
I actually vote against the paparazzi on this one, and for the celebs.
