Boogie Woogie Man vs Mr. Canada looks to be a good one! Thanks. The broadcast date for this PPV was actually way back on the 17th but I could not get to it before I flew home to see my parents for Christmas. But I just got back in Sin City earlier tonight. So I should play out and [finally] post the results of my Hardcore Holidays PPV within the next couple of days.

It is now time for the NWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW) to present Hardcore Holidays- a PPV in which feuding enemies try to take each other out in specialty hardcore matches!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) Hardcore Holiday- NWA brand Sunday December 17 (broadcast date) Vancouver, BC, Canada in GM Place (AKA "The Garage") (First-Third of the PPV)
Hardcore Holidays was preceded by a 30 minute segment of Major League Wrestling: Fight Night in which the major story lines leading up to tonight's matches were recapped and one dark match was shown.
Dark Match: George Hackenschmidt defeated Ted DiBiase via RUSSIAN BEAR HUG.
Match #1: Operation:Pimp (Steve Corino and Hardcore Hodge) vs the Barroom Heroes (Sandman and Justin Credible, managed by Phantasy) in a Singapore cane tag team match.
-These two enemy tag teams also wrestled against each other at Sin City Showdown in October in a tag team tables match which was won by Operation:Pimp.
This match started with Corino in the ring against Credible. Credible began the match by trying to give Corino a hip toss but Corino managed to land on his feet (a roll of 2 on Corino's L2D) near where a Singapore cane was lying on the mat which he picked up and started using against Credible. Credible was finally able to make a defensive tag to the Sandman who managed to pick up a Singapore cane and proceeded to go an offensive onslaught against Corino until Corino was able to make a defensive tag to Hardcore (Danny) Hodge. Hodge, however faired poorly as the Sandman and Credible used a series of quick tags to keep him on the defensive. Hodge managed to survive four pin attempts and even attempted a brief comeback when he deflected a flying elbow smash from the Sandman and then tried to smash the Sandman with a Singapore cane. But the Sandman ducked and instead smashed Hodge with a Singapore cane. The Sandman then once more used his SINGAPORE CANE to finish off Hodge and covered him with one hand hooking Hodge's legs with the other hand holding the Singapore cane straight up which Credible grabbed for extra leverage to ensure the victory.
Winners: The Barroom Heroes (Sandman and Justin Credible)
Match #2: Boogie Woogie Man vs Mr. Canada (Billy "Red" Lyons) in a Canadian hardcore match.
The rafters of GM place shook with the cheers of the fans in Vancouver as Mr. Canada's entrance music, the Canadian national anthem, began playing. Mr. Canada wore a Vancouver Canucks jersey with Henrik Sedin's #33 on it to the further approval of the crowd. Usually viewed as a heel in the United States, Mr. Canada shook hands with his many fans in the crowd on the way to the ring. Then the music for the Boogie Woogie Man began playing. As he made his way to the ring, the Boogie Woogie Man (usually regarded as a fan favorite) was surprised to see the crowd give him a hostile reaction which included jeers and thrown beers.
Before the match began, the lights in GM Place went out except for a spotlight in the center of the ring that focused on Mr. Canada. Mr. Canada then raised up his hand and a microphone slowly dropped into it from the ceiling. Mr. Canada then said:
"I weigh in tonight at 6' 2" and 232 lbs. I hail from Nova Scotia, Canada (this got an even louder response from the Canadian crowd) My name (with the crowd shouting along) is MRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. CANADAAAAAAAAAAAA! CAAAAAAAANAAAAAAAADAAAAAAAA! CANADA!"
As Mr. Canada was preoccupied with finishing his introduction, the Boogie Woogie Man took the opportunity to catch Mr. Canada unprepared by beginning the match with a running elbow smash followed by a series of roundhouse punches. To regroup, Mr. Canada left the ring where he was followed by the Boogie Woogie Man. But Mr. Canada grabbed a metal pipe from underneath the ring which he used to smash Boogie Woogie Man in the head. Mr. Canada and the Boogie Woogie Man continued to brawl outside of the ring and briefly into the crowd before returning to the ring where a highly competitive match ensued as both wrestlers went on impressive offensive runs and as the offensive switched back and forth. Near the end of the match, the Boogie Woogie Man had Mr. Canada in trouble with his SLEEPER. As Mr. Canada flailed his arms in desperation, he managed to grab the ropes (rolled a # higher than his current PIN) which forced the Boogie Woogie Man to release his finishing hold. Mr. Canada then nailed Boogie Woogie Man with a low blow and applied his own SLEEPER HOLD to which the Boogie Woogie Man submitted.
Winner: Mr. Canada
As an exhausted but victorious Mr. Canada made his way back to the locker room, the crowd gave him a standing ovation with repeated chants of "Canada."
Match #3: Dick Hutton vs Bob Orton Sr in a bullrope match.
The offense went back and forth in this match until Hutton managed to block a wild haymaker from Orton Sr. Hutton then with one hand placed the cowbell on the top turnbuckle and then with the other hand slammed Orton's head onto it repeatedly. As a bloody Orton Sr stumbled backward, Hutton clotheslined him to the mat and then grabbed the cowbell and used it to give Orton Sr a falling fist drop which pushed the sharp edge into Orton Sr's forehead. Hutton then pinned Orton Sr for the victory.
Winner: Dick Hutton.
End of the First Third of Hardcore Holidays. The Second Third will be posted next and will include Diamond Dallas Page vs Rick Rude in a coal miner's glove match, Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki vs Ivan Koloff and the Terrible Turk in a tag team steel chain match, and the World Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos vs the Midnight Express in a scaffold match.

As a fan of Mr. Kennedy, I like Mr. Canada. Thanks El Hijo del Tajiri. Mr. Kennedy is one of my favorite wrestlers on Smackdown and is indeed who Mr. Canada is somewhat based on.

Major League Wrestling (MLW) Hardcore Holiday- NWA brand Sunday December 17 (broadcast date) Vancouver, BC, Canada in GM Place (AKA "The Garage") (Second-Third of the PPV, First Third is posted above.)
Match #4: Diamond Dallas Page (accompanied by Diamond Doll Maxine Babe) vs Rick Rude in a coal miner's glove match.
Rude began this match by immediately running to and climbing up the pole in an attempt to grab the coal miner's glove so he could use it to hit DDP. But DDP chased after Rude and a brawl took place at the top of the pole that caused both DDP and Rude to crash to the mat without the glove Although Rude recovered first, the action shifted back and forth until Rude hit DDP with a suplex and then stunned him with a clothesline to make another attempt to climb up the pole. But Rude took too much time going up the pole as Diamond Doll Maxine Babe (who Rude has been attracted to for awhile) came over to distract him which allowed DDP time to recover and also climb up the pole where he slammed Rude's head into the post. As Rude crashed to the mat, DDP grabbed the coal miner's glove and climbed down the pole to go after Rude. But before DDP could hit Rude with the glove, Rude stunned him with a low kick which caused DDP to drop the glove. Rude then won the scramble for the glove and ran over to the top rope which he leaped off of and delivered a deadly fist drop with the coal miner's glove to DDP's head. But Rude was unable to get the 3 count victory because one of DDP's feet landed on the ropes- but this only briefly delayed the end of the match which was won by Rude who immediately put an already downed DDP away via a swinging neckbreaker followed by the RUDE AWAKENING.
Winner: Rick Rude (note: For this match, I used the kick a*s coal miner's glove charts that are included in the recent PNW set).
Advertisement for Wrestlemania: An advertisement is shown that says Major League Wrestling (MLW) will be celebrating its one year anniversary at the end of March with a major PPV called Wrestlemania. The advertisement says that Wrestlemania will be a joint production by both the AWA and NWA brands of Major League Wrestling and will be the biggest card in the history of Major League Wrestling (MLW)!
Match #5: Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki vs Ivan Koloff and the Terrible Turk in a steel chain tag team match.
For this match, Baba was chained to the Terrible Turk and Inoki was chained to Koloff.
Both the Terrible Turk and Koloff started off this match in control against their chained opponents Baba and Inoki respectively. But Baba was able to turn things around quickly when he moved out of the way of the Terrible Turk who was trying to deliver a falling fist to the head from the top turnbuckle while holding the chain and instead crashed to the mat. Baba then gave the Terrible Turk a NECKBREAKER DROP. But Koloff, while he was battling Inoki, was close enough to make the pin save.
Koloff had Inoki in serious trouble and almost won the match with his RUSSIAN BEARHUG. But the offensive shifted over to Inoki who went berserk with the chain which he aggressively used to choke Koloff before throwing him into the ropes and viciously clotheslining him with the steel chain. As Baba continued to battle the Terrible Turk on the other side of the ring, Inoki proceeded to use the chain to tie Koloff to the ropes and then gave Koloff a bow and arrow to which the choking Koloff submitted. Both Koloff and the Terrible Turk were bleeding heavily as the bell sounded to end the match.
Winners: Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki
Advertisement for Royal Rumble: An advertisement is shown about another upcoming PPV called the Royal Rumble which says the main event of this PPV will involve 30 wrestlers (15 from the AWA brand and 15 from the NWA brand) who will randomly enter the match at two minute intervals. The advertisement says that the wrestlers will be eliminated by being thrown over the top rope and that the winner of the Royal Rumble will receive a main event title match at Wrestlemania!
Match #6: World Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos (managed by Captain Kangaroo- Albano) vs the Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane, accompanied by Dennis Condrey and managed by Jim Cornette) in a scaffold match (non-title).
Before this match began, ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta reminded the fans that the two tag teams will be competing on the steel scaffold 20 feet above the ring and that the team that can throw both of their opponents onto the mat below will be the winner!
The match began with Roy Heffernan wrestling Eaton on one end of the scaffold while Al Costello wrestled Lane on the other end of the scaffold.
Heffernan and Eaton battled furiously with each trying to throw the other off the scaffold. But Eaton seemed in command as he gave Heffernan a superplex from the top of the guardrails and onto the steel platform.
On the other side of the scaffold, Costello seemed in control until Lane maneuvered out of a double leg nelson and nailed Costello with an enzuigiri followed by a Midnight Lariat that caused Costello to fall off the scaffold. But Costello luckily managed to grab a handhold from beneath the scaffold from which he swung above the ring before managing to propel himself back onto the scaffold to once again confront Lane!
Meanwhile, on the other side of the scaffold, Eaton was still in control and gave Heffernan a devastating running bulldog onto the steel platform. Eaton then whipped Heffernan into the guard rails and charged after him, but Heffernan ducked and Eaton sailed over the top rail and over the side of the scaffold where he landed on the mat to be eliminated from the match!
Seeing Eaton get eliminated, Cornette desperately ordered Condrey to climb up the scaffold and fight the Kangaroos which caused Captain Kangaroo to react with outrage because this was a clear violation of the rules.
Meanwhile on the scaffold, Lane proved no match against both of the remaining Kangaroos who working together soon sent him over the side of the scaffold and onto the mat via their BOOMERANG finisher. Suddenly, Condrey reached the top and attacked the surprised Kangaroos from behind. But Condrey also proved no match for both of the Kangaroos who quickly also managed to send Condrey over the side of the scaffold and onto the mat via their BOOMERANG finisher.
On the ground, Captain Kangaroo was still furious at Cornette's attempt to cheat by also sending Condrey up the scaffold which could have led to a serious injury to the Kangaroos. Captain Kangaroo then got on the microphone and, with one hand pointed at Cornette, said: "Jim Cornette, I'm Captain Kangaroo and I'm coming for you!" A frightened Cornette then climbed up the scaffold in an attempt to get away from Captain Kangaroo who followed him up the rungs of the scaffold. Upon reaching the top of the scaffold , Cornette realized he forgot that the Kangaroos were still up there and now he was trapped between them and Captain Kangaroo. Cornette pleaded for mercy, but Captain Kangaroo gave him a hip toss followed by a low blow and a Sicilian slam to send Cornette flying off the scaffold and crashing hard onto the mat below as the crowd roared its approval.
Winners: Fabulous Kangaroos (note: for this scaffold match, I used the awesome chart I found about two years ago in the House Rules section of Chris Ingersol's discussion board)
End of Second Third. Final Third will be posted next and includes the Road Warriors vs Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams in a Hell in a Cell match, Frank Gotch challenging Harley Race for the United States Championship in a ladder match, and Dan "the Beast" Severn challenging MLW Champion Buddy Rogers in a Four Weapons of Destruction match!
